Conall Gaffney is an adventurer at heart who loves to bring his camera with him from the coast to the mountains. He grew up in Berkeley, California, and has always had a deep connection to the outdoors. His images are known for being raw and dominated by fascinating landscapes that motivate him. He started taking pictures for his High School freshman-year film photography class and has not looked back since. He was a photographer for Berkeley High's newspaper from 2014-2017 and the Daily Californian from 2017-21 in addition to being a finalist for Congresswoman Barbara Lee’s annual Congressional Art Competition. Additionally, his work has been highly commended by National Geographic photography editors Orsolya Haarberg, Erlend Haarberg, and Jeanne M. Modderman. Conall has also taken photos for Soccer America, covering World Cup friendly warm-up matches. Currently, he works on a hotshot crew as a wildland firefighter. He wants his work to show others the power and beauty of the natural world.
